We can’t control the weather, or the government, or the economy, or a whole host of other things, so how can we possibly control our destiny? It’s all about our mindset and where we believe the control of our lives exists. Cecilie Crossiant, licensed professional counselor, shares why we might feel powerless, ways to change our mindset, how to look for small victories, and what we can do to take back control of our destiny.
"There's always a way out. There's always one step you can take. You can find support and it's never, never too late."
After spending years in ministry Cecilie Crossiant went back to school in her 40s and 50s, earned a masters degree, and became a licensed professional counselor (LPC). She now owns Path of Hope Counseling where she primarily treats adults, couples, and those struggling with trauma. She can be reached through her website pathofhopecounseling.com.
The place with the tulips Cecilie refers to is Garavan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs Nataional Park, Arkansas.
The book she mentions is 9 Things You Simply Must Do to Succeed in Love and Life: A Psychologist Learns from His Patients What Really Works and What Doesn’t by Dr. Henry Cloud.
Cecilie is so peaceful and calming she must be one with the universe. With that in mind, I decided to go with a Jedi costume for this episode. Those with a keen eye probably noticed the lightsaber on the table behind me in this photo. Visit MoneyHeart on Instatram to see a pic of me holding the lightsaber.
